Our Story

Bala le Nna is inspired by the need to have more diversity and representation  in children’s books. It is important that every child is able to see themselves as well as others in the books they read. We also aim to promote speaking and reading in mother tongue languages and making  books in 11 official South African languages more accessible to young readers.
 

For young readers to become global citizens it's important that they engage with literature from around the world and added to that we also source, supply and promote locally authored South African books.
